James Turrell – Night Life at GOMA
As the sky shifts to dusk, James Turrell’s Night Life 2018 illuminates the Gallery of Modern Art from within. Through shifts in tempo, hue and intensity of colour, the artist invites us to consider how we are affected by light.

Night Life is a permanent artwork that realises architects Architectus + Davenport Campbell’s original design intentions for the building to have an artist-created light work.

As members of the gallery’s exhibition design team, Brant and Angus from the PHAB office completed the architectural design, documentation, and project management of the supporting infrastructure within GOMA’s facade.
