Kangaroo Point Apartment

This existing 1990s apartment had been well-used as a rental for the majority of its life. Its former beige colour palette was replaced with materials like timber and stone, set against a background of warm whites. A custom bookshelf made the most of a previously hidden void space, maximising storage and creating a focus for the entry hallway.

The apartment planning was reconfigured to take advantage of its magnificent city views; the walk-in kitchen was opened out to create a spacious cooking and dining experience, and the second bedroom was converted to a dual-use study and guest suite with a dedicated bathroom. An oversized sliding barn door covers a new opening into the study; giving the space privacy, or sharing its city views with the adjacent dining and living areas.
